Teddy
certified therapy dog
Teddy is a Goldendoodle and is in the process of becoming a Certified Therapy Dog! Teddy has been a part of the Designer Smiles team since he was just 6 months old. He has quickly become the mascot of the office and is so loved (& maybe just a little spoiled.)
He is great at calming nervous patients, and many request specifically to have him by their side while they're here for their appointments! A good Teddy snuggle even comes in handy for those of us staff who might be having a tough day. He's everyone's favorite co-worker.
Casey Cole Walker
Administrative Director
Casey joined the Designer Smiles team in 2017. Casey's favorite part of her role as administrative director is ensuring the office is operating at its fullest potential. She also enjoys meeting new families and seeing the excitement of a new smile.
Outside of Designer Smiles, Casey loves spending time with her husband, Wesley, and their children, Carson and Emory. She always has a house full of family and friends! The beach is her happy place, but she enjoys any travel destination, outdoor adventures such as kayaking, and of course, Alabama football.
Shana Sims
Clinical Director
Shana joined the Designer Smiles team in 2018. Shana's favorite part of her role as clinical director is ensuring the clinic runs smoothly and efficiently. She also enjoys seeing the transformation of our patient's smiles from start to finish.
Outside of Designer Smiles, Shana enjoys spending time with her husband, Austin, her son, Troy, and their two dogs, Louie and Roxy. Shana also enjoys Auburn football, going to the beach, and visiting the mountains.
Casey Cofield
Pell City Office Coordinator
Casey joined the Designer Smiles team in 2019. Casey's favorite part of her role as the Pell City Office Coordinator is walking with patients throughout their orthodontic journey from start to finish and seeing the result of a beautiful smile.
Outside of Designer Smiles, Casey enjoys hunting, the outdoors, watching Alabama football and spending time with her family and fur babies, Autumn, Bristol, Meathead, and Whiskey.
Elyse Waldrop
Financial Coordinator
Elyse joined the Designer Smiles team in 2020. Elyse's favorite part of her role as Financial Coordinator is getting to meet new patients and being a part of the process of getting them started on their orthodontic journey!
Outside of Designer Smiles Elyse likes to spend time with her husband Luke and her son and daughter, Luke and Gracie. She also enjoys watching Luke play baseball and seeing his love for the game. Elyse is always up for a trip to the beach or anywhere tropical!
Ryleigh Lawson
Marketing Coordinator
Ryleigh joined the Designer Smiles team in 2024. Ryleigh's favorite part as marketing coordinator is getting to live and breathe the Designer Smiles mission. She is inspired daily by the incredible transformations our patients experience, from their first consultation to the moment they leave with their new, confident smiles.
Outside of work, Ryleigh loves spending time with her husband Tyler and her two daughters, Olivia and Parker. When she's not at the office, she enjoys traveling, hiking, camping, and cooking with her family. Her favorite place to be is in nature. Ryleigh also loves crafting and creating memories with her children, making the most of every moment together.
Miranda Rogers
Insurance Coordinator
Miranda joined the Designer Smiles team in 2024. Miranda's favorite part of her job is knowing all the behind-the-scenes details are taken care of so patients can use the full extent of their insurance benefits to get the orthodontic care they need.
Miranda enjoys spending time with her husband Brian and her two boys Jensen and Rylan. When she has free time you can find her at the beach or spending her nights and weekends at the ballfield watching her son play baseball.
Skylar Smith
Treatment Coordinator
Skylar joined Designer Smiles in 2024. Her favorite part of being a treatment coordinator is making sure all of her patients feel safe in their new orthodontic environment.
Outside of work, you can find Skylar spending time with her newlywed husband, Tyler. She has two cats named River and Cali and a golden lab named Dekota. She is a Swifty at heart and as a previous teacher she is passionate about education. She is proud to announce that she herself had Dr. Benton do all of her orthodontic work!
Kandi Fulmer
Treatment Coordinator
Kandi joined the Designer Smiles team in 2024. Kandi's favorite part of her role as a treatment coordinator is interacting with patients and watching their excitement as they begin their orthodontic journey.
Outside of Designer Smiles. Kandi enjoys spending time with her husband, Andy and children, Kynlee and Cael. You can always catch Kandi and her daughter at an athletic event as her husband is a local area coach and her son is a multisport athlete. When she is not at an athletic event Kandi enjoys cooking, the occasional DIY project, and trying new restaurants.
Jessalyn Pressley

Jessalyn joined the Designer Smiles team in 2021. Jessalyn's favorite part of her role as Clinical Assistant is meeting new patients. Outside of Designer Smiles, she loves spending time with her family, her husband Shane, son Kasen, and step-son Bentley. She also spends a lot of time watching her boys play sports!

Scheduling Coordinator
Maggie joined the Designer Smiles team in 2023, and since then, she’s been a vital part of our team as a scheduling coordinator. Her favorite part of her role is having a front row seat to watch the excitement and joy of our patients as they progress through every step of their orthodontic journey—from the first time they walk through the door to the moment they leave with the smile they've always dreamed of!
Outside of Designer Smiles, Maggie is a dedicated mother to her daughter, Mary Murphy, and a loving wife to her husband, Macain. Her family is at the heart of everything she does, and she truly excels as a mother, bringing patience, love, and fun to every day with Mary Murphy. Maggie also enjoys serving in the Children’s Ministry at church, cooking and hosting for friends and family, and organizing game nights that bring everyone together for some quality time and laughter. Amity Cooper
Clinical Assistant
Amity joined the Designer Smiles team in 2023. Her favorite part of her role as a Clinical Assistant is becoming closer to the patients and their families, and getting to know them on a personal level throughout their smile journey.

Lori's favorite part of being a scheduling coordinator is meeting new patients as well as helping to make sure things are running smoothly,
Lori has been married to her husband Adam for 13 years and she has three children, Shaylie, Silas, and Saylor. Her hobbies include watching her children play softball, baseball, and basketball and spending time with those close to her.
Stephanie Williams
Records Technician
Stephanie joined the Designer Smiles team in 2023. Her favorite part of her role as Records Technician is interacting with and meeting new people! She's also always had a love for photography, so she really enjoys getting to be behind the camera every day!

Erin has been with Designer Smiles since 2024. Her favorite thing as a scheduling coordinator is getting to be a part of each patient's orthodontic journey and getting to spend time with her work family.
Outside of work, Erin enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She loves spending time outdoors, painting, competing in pageants, and watching movies.

Outside of work, Ava likes to spend time with her boyfriend, she likes to try new recipes, and she loves visiting with her family and friends.
Arien
Arien joined the Designer Smiles team in 2024. With 9 years of experience in the dental and orthodontics field, Arien brings a wealth of knowledge and a compassionate touch to her work. Her favorite part of being an assistant is getting to see all of her patient's smiling faces.
Outside of Designer Smiles, Arien loves to unwind by spending time at the lake or beach, and she’s often found with her nose in a good book. Arien is a dedicated wife, proud mother to her daughter Avery and son Cameron, and an all-around family enthusiast. When she’s not busy at work, you can usually find her cheering from the sidelines at the ball field or watching dance lessons. Whether she’s on the go with her family or enjoying some quiet time, Arien brings passion, dedication, and a positive attitude to everything she does!
